Protoje looks to conquer Europe
Monday, September 10, 2018
After wrapping up the North American leg of his A Matter of Time promotional tour, reggae act Protoje is preparing for the European leg.
With this in mind, the reggae singjay — known for tracks such as Blood Money, and Who Knows, featuring Chronixx — has released the latest single from his album. The single, titled Like This, was released last Friday by Mr Bongo and Easy Star Records, through licensing from In.Digg.Nation Collective and Overstand Entertainment.
Like This explores themes of love and relationship anxieties and blends traditional and contemporary reggae rhythms, and is produced by long-time collaborator Winta James.
“This song really talks about forgiveness and understanding as it pertains to our relationships... Understanding that we all go through the same things in some way. When I sing this song live on tour, everyone sings with me... I can see that it really connects with people,” Protoje said.
This weekend Protoje wrapped up his tour in the United States with three concerts featuring hip hop legends Lauryn Hill and Nas in Las Vegas and California.
He hops across the Atlantic for a series of shows starting in Brussels, Belgium and Paris, France at the end of October. In November, the artiste has 13 confirmed shows in major European cities including Stockholm, Sweden; Amsterdam in The Netherlands; Zurich, Switzerland; and Libson, Portugal, before he returns to France for performances in Bourgoin Jallieu, Bagnols-Sur-Ceze, Cenon, Mulhouse, Oignes, and Tournefeuille.
