KINGSTON, Jamaica – The Jamaica Constabulary Force's new Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch (PSTEB) is seeking to reassure the public that they will continue to provide support where needed in light of ongoing traffic changes in the Corporate Area.
According to a release from the police's Corporate Communications Unit (CCU), although a build-up of traffic is unavoidable, with the cooperation of motorists the Force's aim is to keep intersections clear, ensure a free flow of traffic and maintain security on the roadways.
The police are therefore appealing to motorists to obey their instructions and stay on the prescribed routes as they continue to make commute easier in areas affected by the current road improvement works.
During this time, traffic updates will be provided in a timely manner through media releases and on our social media platforms, the CCU said in its release. Motorists are also being reminded to utilise the PSTEB tip-line at 876-591-5671 to alert the police of areas where their presence might be needed.
